The REW Computing Inc. Logo

The arrows in the logo are equivalent to the “Sony Walkman” and cassette tape technologies, where two arrows to the right meant “forward” and two arrows to the left meant “rewind”. In our case, two arrows to the right means “looking forward” while two arrows to the left means “learning from the past”.

REW Computing slogan - "looking forward, learning from the past". REW Computing offers services in eDiscovery, project management and IBM Lotus Notes support for Newmarket, Toronto, the GTA, and Ontario, Canada.

This “Looking Forward, Learning from the Past” is especially critical in dealing with a number of aspects of eDiscovery. To move forward in your litigation, you need to understand what was done in the past, and any or all changes that might have impacted your company to be able to properly identify, collect, and preserve potentially relevant data. It is this balance of experience and knowledge that we bring to the table.

In 1993, Richard Wessel founded REW Computing as a sole-proprietorship. The original focus was on “Bringing the Computer Down To Earth” and providing technical support services to small businesses and individuals.

Richard gained invaluable technical experience moving through the industry sectors of Education, Health Care, Non-Profit Organizations, Software Development and Automotive Manufacturing. He also achieved a comprehensive understanding of the ever-changing world of Information Technology. During these times REW Computing continued to exist, but only in a part time capacity.

In 1999, REW Computing began consulting in Lotus Domino development and administration. After many contracting opportunities the demand for Richard’s talents and the responsibilities of his role necessitated a full-time position in the automotive industry. Again, REW Computing moved to the back burner.

REW Computing was reactivated in 2006, after Richard seized the opportunity to go out on his own and make REW Computing his full-time focus. In 2007, REW Computing was incorporated.
