We recently came upon an issue where our users were downloading the email messages and launching them in outlook to review them:

Then they would save them to a different location to be used as part of their project. 

This sounds like a normal workflow, until they went and looked at the messages again and found that body of the messages were missing!

So, depending on your platform, you might be downloading and then launching or opening the attachment. 

This file has been saved to your downloads folder (or wherever your browser has been configured to save them). 

Once you have completed your review of the email, there is no need to save it again as it is in the downloads folder. You just need to move it to where you want to store it.
